Treat your guests to these delicious confections from France: the Noisettines, literally meaning little hazelnuts in French, are handmade candied hazelnuts, a very natural product as they are simply composed of hazelnuts, sugar and water. They are crunchy and light and are very tasty with coffee, champagne, or just by themselves.

Preparation: the Noisettines are elaborated with first-quality hazelnuts that are selected, sorted and graded. They are then plunged in caramelized sugar in which they cook over a slow heat. They are afterwards candied, dried and coated with tender and crunchy caramel. These delicious confections are presented in a golden ballotin. (10.52 oz)

The Noisettines, created according to a recipe dating from 1649, have been made by Edith and Michel Noyez who live in a small village of only 230 inhabitants called Blaignan Médoc. Médoc is a wine-producing district of southwestern France, situated on the left bank of the Gironde estuary north of Bordeaux.

Ingredients: hazelnuts, water, sugar.
